Blake Greenwood
FOUNDER, CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Since completing his business degree from the University of Cape Town, majoring in Economics, Organisational Psychology, and Marketing, Blake has applied these skills in a range of industries. His first step into entrepreneurship came during the challenges of COVID.A failed business venture and a deep desire to change the world led him back to corporate where he worked in the renewable energy sector, becoming the brand manager for a large solar EPC, discovering a strong passion for purpose-driven production.
Fueled by the desire to use content as a force for change, Blake founded Greenwave, bridging the gap between businesses and creatives to create impactful media that inspires and transforms.

Drew Wayland
HEAD OF OPERATIONS
Originally from the woodlands of the southeastern US, Drew has a deep love for the natural world and a longtime passion for environmental storytelling.
Drew has worked as a journalist, writer and filmmaker in countries all over the world, and he is driven by a desire to explore and understand the ways we coexist with nature and with one another.
Drew completed his undergraduate degree in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and later completed an MSc in Global Media at the London School of Economics & Political Science. He will soon be completing a second MSc in Media and Communication from UCT.
For Drew, storytelling is a journey toward empathy. He believes that by showcasing and uplifting the unique perspectives of others, one can come to better understand themselves and their own potential to impact the global community.
This mindset, along with the skills he has acquired as a reporter and documentarian, helps to ensure that our content is thoughtful, professional, adventurous, and exceptionally human.

Patrick Barry
LEAD VIDEOGRAPHER & EDITOR
"Sometimes I'll get home from a shoot, late at night and think... lets just have a look at the footage. The next moment the sun will be rising and my cousin will be getting up for work and I'd have barely slept, having edited all night. Time flies when you're having fun".
Patrick grew up in Cape Town, the mother city, and despite originally studying architecture, his passion for videography led him to shift his focus.
Entering his second year at AFDA, Patrick is inspired to apply his learnings from film school in the world and produce videos that inspire humanity.
Additionally his passion for film photography and music festivals, leads to a wide range of interesting subject matter.
His goal for this summer is to shoot at a wide range of music festivals.
With a wide range of skills and a keen eye for details, he's an asset to any creative team.
